Franklin Towne's Community Service Club is meant to give all students a chance to have a positive impact on their community.
FAQ:
Do I need to come to every meeting and service opportunity to be a part of the club?
- No! Members will have a chance to sign up for each service opportunity (space permitting) but will not be required to attend every event. However, to officially be considered a part of the club and receive a Certificate of Membership at the end of the year you must complete at least 10 service hours with the club.
When will the meetings and service take place, and how will we get there?
- All after school meetings will be at school. Service opportunities might be after school or on weekends. For after school events, we will either walk or transportation will be provided. For weekend events, students will be responsible for transporting themselves to/from the events. More information will be given out for each specific event.
How many people will be able to go on each service opportunity?
- This will differ based on the event, and specifics about each opportunity (number of people, dates, times, etc.) will be provided when the opportunity is announced.
Please note that any member who signs up for a service event and cancels between the preparation meeting and the outing OR does not show up the day of the service event WILL NOT be eligible to participate in the next 2 service opportunities (except in extenuating circumstances).
